Luna Vineyards - Napa Valley
(Sometimes substituted with Signorello Vineyards)

Luna Winery, Napa Valley
Luna Vineyards, Napa Valley
is located at the southernmost end of the historic Silverado Trail, an idyllic region renowned for its natural beauty and quiet sophistication. President Mary Ann Tsai heads a dedicated team in crafting Napa Valley wines of intricate character and exquisite taste, using techniques such as co-fermentation and natural yeasts to achieve distinctive results. Luna has achieved critical acclaim and is quickly becoming known for producing wines whose timeless attributes evoke a lifestyle of refined taste and sophistication.

Given the tranquil and quite location, Luna is a perfect stop for The Wine Country Tour Shuttle. When you arrive, the winery will feel like the house you have always wanted. The tasting room is modern, inviting and large.

Luna really puts together a great tasting selection for their guests. Although the menu varies from time-to-time, it's not uncommon for you to taste high end Pinot Grigio's, Sangiovese's and Cabernet Sauvignon's. They also have a very interesting blend called, "Freak out".

Luna offers a great deal on tasting fees. The tasting fee is "buy one, get one" at $15 per couple and includes up to 4 different wine tastes (up to about 2 full glasses of wine). So you will only pay $7.50 per taste at Luna.

Winery Facts:

WINEMAKER: Mike Drash. Mike has something to say about that mysterious quality that makes certain wines stand out from the rest: "The secret of the world's best wines, " Mike says, " is soul.  That soul comes from the vineyard and the winemaker's hands."

Mike Drash, Head Winemaker

PRODUCTION: Currently 7,000 cases annually

VINEYARDS: The vineyard, planted in alluvial soil between the Silverado Trail and the Napa River, encompasses several distinct growing zones. Though it appears homogenous, years of careful farming have revealed subtle changes in the soil structure that yield striking differences in ripeness and intensity.  For this reason, we have always harvested the vineyard in several different passes, and fermented the lots from different zones individually.

WINERY: A sprawling estate vineyard and breathtaking grounds make Luna Vineyards a preferred destination for visitors to Napa Valley. We invite you to stop by and sample our handcrafted wines in a setting of rustic beauty. Villa Luna is surrounded with olive trees and leafy oaks, making it seem like a natural part of the landscape. On cold days, cozy up to a crackling fire; on hot summer afternoons, relax on the porch and soak in the panoramic view of our 22-acre estate Pinot Grigio vineyard.

Featured Wines:

Pinot Grigio - Crafted from 100% Syrah estate grown grapes, this wine is deep in colors, almost opaque with hues of red and purple. A beautiful blend of blueberry, violets, clover, black plum create the dense yet smooth wine.

Luna 2002 Canto - The perfect after dinner wine is bottled elegantly. The dark garnet red color is filled with aromas of dried figs, dates, dark plum with hints of cinnamon. Layered with silky chocolate and slight nutty characters this wine is full body to be enjoyed.
