Beginnings in 1972, John Shafer left the world of publishing moved to the Napa Valley to follow his passion for wine. Shafer Vineyards is located along Napa Valley's famous Stags Leap District. Winning such acclaimed honors and awards as San Francisco’s Vintners Club choice as well as many international tasting Shafer Vineyards wines have been some of the most sot after wines of California. Over the years there have been many addition to the vineyards, adding acreage and varieties. With a beautiful estate, the Shafer family welcomes guests and visitors to enjoy their lush grounds and views of Napa Valley.
