Brunno and Urannia Ristow came to Napa in 1983, after a couple of years of encouragement the couple decided to plant their first vineyard. Naming the land Quinta de Paedras, portuguese for "place of stones" because of the rocky soil the Ristow's were surprisingly greeted with a harvest of very high quality fruits. With the success of the first vineyards in 1983 the Ristow's have not looked back, becoming a top grower of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. With a great passion and love for wine Ristow Estate continues to produce some of the highest quality fruits and wines of all the Napa Valley. Along with winning many awards and acceptance of many wine critic from around the world Ristow stands as a fine example of great wine from the Napa Valle
