Napa Experience Itinerary![]() Start at: The Ferry Building Our wine country tour starts at the San Francisco Ferry Building. You will meet your wine country tour guide outside in
front. Your tour group and wine country tour guide will all board the shuttle to Napa Valley going across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Drive over Golden Gate Bridge We will drive over the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to beautiful Napa Valley. Your Tour Guide will provide historical narrative of the Golden Gate Bridge, Pacific Ocean and the Marin Headlands before going into their informative wine country 101 narrative. For the ride home, we take a Ferry/Bay Cruise back to San Francisco where you will again see the bridge from inside the bay. At this time, the sunset or late afternoon sunlight will be in the backdrop of the bridge while you take pictures from the ferry.
![]() Andretti Winery - Napa Valley As part of the Wine Country Tour Shuttle itinerary, the shuttle moves towards Andretti Winery. The winery is well known for Mario Andretti, the famous Indy 500 racecar driver, and the craft of their Italian wine making process. The winery was established in 1996, initiated by the inspiration of Mario Andretti's distinguished career. Andretti Winery is substituted for Robert Mondavi Winery on the Napa Experience w/ Mondavi tour. Both tours are identical except that Andretti Winery is replaced with Mondavi.
![]() V. Sattui Winery - Napa Valley V. Sattui offers our groups a wide variety of 5 different wines to taste for only $10 per person. It should be noted that you can also eat for a second time when visiting this winery during the tour because this winery also has picnic lunch tables, olives and cheeses. See more of V. Sattui winery.
![]() Picnic Lunch - Andretti Winery (Napa Valley) While at Andretti Winery we will eat our picnic lunch at the picnic tables outside. A picnic lunch caps off an amazing wine country experience. The picnic lunch will give you an opportunity to relax and take in the California Wine Country Tour and some good food with others in your group.
Rutherford Ranch Winery - Napa Valley Right off the presigious Silverado Trail sits the Rutherford appelation where we will visit the always fun, Rutherford Ranch Winery. Here we get to sit on nice couches and taste great wines while the wine presenter presents their wines. This part of the tour is a great time to meet others while you are relaxing in their cool air-conditioned winery and have great conversation, learning and tasting Rutherford Ranch wines. This winery always rates one of our highest from our internal customer rating systems.
Franciscan - Napa Valley Franciscan has its roots deeply embedded in the soil of Napa Valley. Founded over three decades ago, wine industry revolutionaries Raymond Duncan and Justin Meyer shaped the winery’s beginnings. In 1985, renowned vintner Agustin Huneeus took over the reins, leading the winery to greatness through innovation and a commitment to small-lot winemaking.
![]() Ferry/Bay Cruise from Napa to SF As a tour group, we're going to take a 45-minute bay cruise from Vallejo, California, which is very close to Napa Valley. This is a perfect way to end our wine country tour, because it's a nice and relaxing ride. During the ride, you can go outside and enjoy the amazing views and San Francisco weather. This won't be a typical bay cruise, because you have the opportunity to see picturesque views of well known U.S. landmarks: Alcatraz island, San Francisco City View, The Bay Bridge and The Golden Gate Bridge during the cruise. The Ferry/Bay Cruise portion of the tour will surely be one of the most memorable parts of your wine country tour with the Wine Country Tour Shuttle.
Ferry Cruise Drop-off: The Ferry Building The tour ends by
ferry/bay cruise at the Ferry Building. Here you can go inside and visit the gourmet shops while over-looking the bay or head back
to your hotel. The Ferry Buliding is centrally located to most hotels, especially if your hotel is in Union Square, the Financial
District or Fisherman's Wharf. Most San Francisco hotels are in those neighborhoods.
* Although rare, wineries are subject to change without notice. Napa Experience Tour with Castello di Amorosa Itinerary -![]()
Start at: The Ferry Building (10am!) Our Napa Experience Tour with Castello di Amorosa starts at the San Francisco Ferry Building. You will meet your
wine country tour guide outside in front. Your tour group and wine country tour guide will all board the shuttle to Sonoma Valley
going across the Golden Gate Bridge.
![]() Drive over Golden Gate Bridge We will drive over the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to beautiful Sonoma Valley. Your Tour Guide will provide historical narrative of the Golden Gate Bridge, Pacific Ocean and the Marin Headlands before going into their informative wine country 101 narrative. ![]()
Castello di Amorosa - Calistoga, CA Beyond Napa Valley sits one of the most georgous wineries in the world. Castello di Amorosa appears to be an
authentic castle for one reason only. It is an authentic castle, though fancified. We either used construction methods
and materials that would have been used 1,000 years ago, or we used very old hand-made materials that had survived up to modern
times. A fireplace predating Christopher Columbus adorns the Great Hall, and Iron Maiden from the late Renaissance dominates
the torture chamber. A wrought iron dragon from the times of Napoleon hovers over the massive main door. More than 8,000
tons of stone were chiseled, not sawed, by hand to be absolutely authentic. Nearly 200 containers of old, hand made
materials were shipped from Europe to lend authenticity. ![]()
V.Sattui - Napa Valley V.Sattui is the same owner of Castello di Amorosa. They call V.Sattui winery, "the winery the castle built" for a reason. V.Sattui has been named winery of year, many consecutive years, because they offer so many different tasting bars plus a deli that is world known with it's wide array of meats and cheeses that all go well with their wines. And if you are a BBQ person and you are taking this tour on a weekend day, welll then there is a BBQ pit that you can enjoy. We give you a $10 voucher to get lunch and then sit at one of their picnic tables to eat. Again, you will not be dissapointed with the experience V.Sattui has to offer. Reatta Winery Our Third Winery and final winery
is Reatta Winery. One might ask why we only go to 3 wineries instead of 4 on this wine tour? We do this because we want to give you
2 hours at Castello di Amorosa so you can get a great tour and tasting, plus it is further back beyond Napa Valley in the small town
of Calistoga.
