Clos Du Val Wine Company, Napa Valley

Clos Du Val translates to "small vineyard estate of a small valley" in French. This French winery is owned by John Goelet whose parents are direct descent from Bordeaux, France. In 1973, Clos Du Val purchased 180 acres in Carneros of southern Napa. Thirteen years later, the winery released its first Carneros Chardonnay, and four years later its first Carneros Pino Noir. Holding true to an old-world approach to winemaking, Clos Du Val Wine company has been producing some of the finest wines the Napa Valley
has tasted since for over the past thirty years ago. Winning award after award as well as such titles as the "best winery of the year", Clos Du Val is truly a company that produces a superb wine.

A driveway lined with cypress trees takes you to the vine-covered stone winery. Behind this is a awe-inspiring rock landing. This humble, but most beautiful winery will be a great treat during your Wine Country Tour. Inside the winery, halogen lights on the high ceiling beam down on the wooden tasting bar that is suitable for up to 8 people at a time. Visitors are free to have a picnic on the grounds in the olive grove in the back.
