There are practically uncountable numbers of different types of wines. It is important to note the fact that the description of each type of wine begins with the classification and the different types of wines are classified based on the grape variety or the different regions where the grapes are grown. The wines which are classified based on the grape varieties are referred as varietals and the wines which are classified based on the growing region are named after the wine region itself. There is a great difference between the flavors and the texture because of the difference in the climatic regions.
