In the Carmel Valley on Sept. 26, you could view as 10 tons of grapes are trampled, and go after Chateau Julien winemakers for a banquet in the wine cellar. Chumeia Vineyards is further organizing an ice cream social Sept. 19-20 and a wine sail journey around Morro Bay Sept. 27. At Pipestone Vineyards, you would get your hands purple with a concrete winemaking class on Sept. 28.
Tesoro Winery in Temecula is planning a "Biker Brunch" with a five course meal subsequently a motorbike tour in the area. The American Wine and Food Festival in Los Angeles, Sept. 26-28 that raises funds for Los Angeles Meals on Wheels, has celebrity chefs, great live music, tastings and a dinner. In Napa Valley, Groth Winery and Vineyards is rejoicing "Wine in the Insectary" to display the 44 different species sowed there to magnetize beneficial insects. |
