Ballentine Vineyards
Ballentine Vineyards, Napa Valley
As a smaller scale producer, this vineyard was established in 1993. Located St. Helena this 100 acre vineyard produces only about 10,000 cases a year. With only 7 employies this vineyard is really a small operation yet boasts a great varitey of wines such as: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah, Chenin Blanc. This winery is known for its Chenin Blanc as there are not many good Napa Valley wineries that make Chenin Blanc. Their Chenin Blanc old vines date to the early 1970s, and perhaps that accounts for the complexity
of this variety.
Wine Country Tours often visit Ballentine Vineyards because of its Chenin Blanc and old grape vines. Check back for detailed information on this specific winery soon. This winery is part of the California Wine Country as well as the Napa Valley Wine Country. Sonoma wineries are not far from this specific winery.
